ABOUT HANDS ON LIFE COMMUNITY We create active, diverse, transformative retreats and classes hosted by experienced, professional, inspired teachers, and therapists. Combining activities such as: YOGA, ART, SWIMMING, PILATES, DANCE, MASSAGE, MEDITATION, MIND MEDICINE, MUSIC, COOKING, APOTHECARY AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS. The locations are in areas of outstanding natural beauty, with stylish accommodation and good beds. This years retreats will be held at The Old Rectory in Devon. Informal elegant, surrounded with artwork, great books and great beds.You will be served nutritious food, and gently encouraged to appreciate a slower place in nature giving you the opportunity to learn new skills that will help you take a break from the chatter of a busy life. Yoga & Pilates classes focusing on strengthening your core, mobility, flexibility, and all round strength and mental fitness.If you want to learn, or deepen your practice, both Amanda and Marika are highly skilled intuitive teachers with 10 years experience between them.
Massage, and Yoga Nidra Workshop
September 2020 | Location: The Dunes, Mawgan Porth Cornwall
Run by medical herbalist Sarah Murphy and Esalen massage & bodywork specialist Leonie Nanassy. This informative day long workshop will teach you to make potions and creams with everyday herbs from the garden and woods.You will learn to package your products, along with massage techniques so that you can apply your potions with some knowledge and skill. The day will close with Yoga Nidra meditation & Deep relaxing techniques that will help strengthen your mind, body and purpose. Delicious lunch, & refreshments inc. Time: 10.00am-5.30pm.

Experience one hour of Yoga Nidra, a profound form of yoga in which you will learn how to relax consciously and train your mind with the guidance of ‘Sankalpa”. Sankalpa is a Sanskrit word, and is an important stage of Yoga Nidra that can be a powerful method of re shaping your personality and direction in life along the positive lines. This class will be followed by a cacao ritual where you will be encouraged to strengthen the affirmation of your “Sankalpa”.
